Kambri Scholars

Come together to change the future

A university education changes lives. And there comes a moment in time, when we have the opportunity to change the future. For our nation’s First Peoples. For Australia.

Kambri Scholars is this significant opportunity – supporting Indigenous students to study at 澳门永利官网 and go on to fulfilling careers and lives.

The First Nations peoples of Australia should have first choice in whatever they wish to achieve -- first choice in attending university, first choice in graduate studies and first choice in employment. Kambri Scholars provides this choice.

The Kambri Scholars program ensures a range of holistic and culturally aware support programs are in place so that Indigenous students can get the most out of their studies.

The Kambri Scholarships

Kambri Scholars

The scholarship ensures students have everything they need to succeed, from suitable accommodation, financial support for return trips home, a stipend, and additional financial and pastoral support. This quality of student support is the reason 澳门永利官网 has one of the best graduation rates of Indigenous students in Australia.

This scholarship really helps to support me and fulfil my needs and obligations to culture and my people

Izayah Davis, 2020 Kambri Scholar

Kambri Scholars is co-created by the 澳门永利官网 Tjabal Indigenous Higher Education Centre and Indigenous leaders on campus. It supports the entire learning lifecycle, from undergraduate to postgraduate to employment opportunities, and provides life-changing assistance in culturally appropriate ways. Students receive the most appropriate services tailored to their needs to set them up for success.

Today’s scholars are tomorrow’s leaders

With your support, we seek to establish a $50 million endowment for Kambri Scholars, with a University commitment to match every donation, dollar for dollar.

Support the next generation of Indigenous scholars who go on to enrich their communities and give back to Country.

It’s time to change the future. Together.

Supporting the tertiary education of Indigenous youth is critical to a future of greater equality, understanding and opportunity. My contribution to Kambri Scholars is my own part in Reconciliation as an Australian citizen.

Valmae Freilich, Donor to the Kambri Scholars Program

My hope is that never again will Indigenous students miss out on the 澳门永利官网 experience.

Professior Brian Schmidt, Vice-Chancellor and President.
